We have had many questions from concerned consumers as to whether or not our products contain nanoparticles as they have been shown to be of concern with regard to lung health. Our products DO NOT CONTAIN NANOPARTICLES.

What is a nanoparticles? According to Wikipedia nanoparticles any particles with any dimension less than 100 nm.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, "Animal studies have shown that some nanoparticles can penetrate cells and tissues, move through the body and brain and cause biochemical damage. But whether cosmetics and sunscreens containing nanomaterials pose health risks remains largely unknown, pending completion of long-range studies recently begun by the FDA and other agencies."[1]

Although the Chronicle admits that health risk due to cosmetics is "largely unknown", we at Erth Minerals have made the choice to not use raw materials containing nanoparticles to ensure the safety of our staff & of our clients.
